The Mint Bar - Sheridan, Wyoming

photo of toilet at the mint in Sheridan Wyoming

Today, The Toilets of the World Blog, brings you a toilet from The Mint Bar in Sheridan, Wyoming. Sheridan was voted the number one Western Town in the US by True West Magazine in 2006.

Roadfood.com describes The Mint as:

"The ultimate cowboy bar, featuring a multicolored neon sign outside that shows a wrangler mid-air on a bucking bronc with neon cattle brands like sparks around the hooves. Inside, the Mint is lined entirely in cedar and gnarled pine burls, with rough-hewn log booths and shingle walls that gleam like slick leather and bear hundreds of brands. The timber walls are hung with panoramic photographs of ranch life, circa. 1941."

Sounds and is amazing. We had a terrifying but great time there. Some real tough looking cowboys hang out in this place but the bar lady took us under our wing and we came to no harm.

Unfortunately, we saw little of the wild west when we visited the toilet. In 2007, Sheridan ended up in 6th place for the same contest. We can't help but wonder if an old "Wanted: Dead or Alive" poster or even a drawing of Yosemite Sam, above this toilet might have made a difference.
